Leo Moore is a Partner in the William Fry Technology Group, specialising in technology, data protection and intellectual property law. He advises domestic and multi-national companies on IT and business process outsourcing, software licensing and development, Internet of Things, apps and smart technology, e-commerce, cloud computing, systems integration, FinTech and strategic legal due diligence. Leo manages large IP portfolios for leading global and Irish enterprises and provides strategic advice and assistance on IP protection, exploitation strategies and brand management.
His extensive experience on data protection includes advising “big data” and other companies on privacy and data protection compliance, DPIA’s, GDPR compliance programmes, marketing and international transfers.
Leo is a leading figure in the Firms’ Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Sports groups.
A regular contributor of articles to publications, Leo has also participated in lecture programmes on data protection, commercial law and intellectual property. He is a lecturer on the Law Society’s Diploma Programme and its Professional Practice Courses. He is co-author of the Irish chapter of International Agency and Distribution Agreements by Lexis Nexis.
